I have a PCM from an '01 truck (salvage yard item) and I am trying to determine if it came from a truck with electronic throttle or cable throttle. I have the VIN from the truck it came out of, is there any way to figure this out?

 

My '01 has the cable.
If you want to check out the VIN, just call up the dealership I guess.

 

Most 01's had cable throttle unless they came with the traction control, which was few and far between I think.
