Default How reliable with a Radix?

Hey guys. I was just wondering how reliable everyone's trucks are with superchargers? I used to have a 1997 Dodge Ram 5.2L with a intercooled procharger and after about 20,000 miles it seemed like i was fixing something new every other weekend. My RST has 45000 on it and I am highly considering a magnacharger but dont want to go through all the same headaches. How are your trucks holding up?

Are you going to run the stock Radix setup forever, then you'll likely not have any issues.

Yeah i'll keep it basically stock. I may do an intake or small stuff. How much boost does the stock setup run? And with pullies, how high can i safely go?

Stock is ~6lbs. If you go pully down your going to need to mod your trans. and custom tune.

It's a 5spd tranny, and I'll have nelson (mail order) tune the whole thing from the start

every single person ive seen/talked to that has put a radix on a rst 5speed has said that even on the base radix package, it makes the truck soooooo much more enjoyable, some even go so far as to say its perfect.

another thing to think about is that if you dont do anything but install the radix, you can get a 3yr./36,000 mile warranty with it

I am totally impressed with the stock radix. But more is always better. Going to 8 lbs next with FLT level 5 trans and Yank sc3000 converter.

+1 to this. however, along with the "fun factor" came the factor.

i'd recommend looking into upgrading your rear-end and traction stuff BEFORE getting the radix unlike myself... now i have to save up for all that stuff...

ive driven mine 700 miles non stop with no issues.

long term, its basically the same as a stock truck. there is no extra maintenance that goes with it.
but like everyone else said, be prepared to spend another 2-3k on more goodies.
