I can do it in 1-2 hours with a floor jack. OBX, Pacesetter, Dynatech all go in from the bottom. The most time consuming part is usually getting the stock Y pipe out without pulling the trans x-member. Just takes a little extra wiggling to get it out.

Not saying that they'll definitely leak, just saying that the stockers are better. I ran the paper gaskets that came with my Gibson shorties for over 5 years without any leaks also, but when I went to my StainlessWorks long tubes I opted for the stock MLS gaskets at the advice from the folks here...if we were to go 15 years down the line, the paper/graphite style gaskets will be dried out and possibly cracked while the layered steel gaskets will still be metal

You changed headers so many times you should have just used wing nuts lol

you guys are lucky! the original owner of my truck tried to remove the driver side manifold, and started on the very back bolt, without spraying it down. you can guess what happend!

now im gonna either have to try and extract it, or pull the head

The heads are known to break off of those manifold bolts by themselves without even being touched by a wrench, and it's usually the end bolts that break, most often the ones in the back.

well i stuck a little piece of metal thru the hole, to see how far it broke off. seems like there might be enough left that i can get a vice grip on it with the manifolds off.
