Default How much is my whipple worth??

This is on my 01 C3.

I've got the truck at a shop in Phx with the idea of getting the crank pulley keywayed so it'll stay tight, getting the truck tuned, and an intercooler built.

The shop owner wants to do a twin turbo setup at his cost so he can have a pattern to go by, and thinks the cost will be close to what I'd spend to do the items I want done with the whipple I already have on the truck.

Since running a 13.4 last year prior to doing some head work, lowering the compression, installing some forged pistons and using 1.85 rockers, along with going from 6lbs of boost to 11lbs, the best we've got is 13.6.

Just wondering what the whipple is worth before I make a decision. Thx!

Minimum $2200. What shop is doing your work? you should do it yourself it's easy

Twin turbos does sound sweet though!

Ryan-I would be happy to get you some coin to put an intercooler together that works, or give the shop some info.
Greg at ADS in Chandler. 480-961-8704
I've got both of my camaros there, and with the last bill, keeping the price down on the truck has become a whole lot more important.
I'm thinking this truck with an intercooler and a better tune at 10lbs of boost is way capable of getting in the 12's, and that would be plenty fast enough for me. (on the truck).
Or email me with some info to give to them? dbs1@wmonline.com

Default alky?

dbs1- What type of tune are you running? You should get with Nic, he is here local and does some sweet tuning! If you dont want to spend a whole lot of money but want big gains put some akly on that thing, I pick up 50-60whp with it and the timimg tables being adjusted. I am running the SMC kit. It is a great set up and the guys there are great to work with. You can also talk to Kieth over at Az. dyno chip I am sure he can fab. up a intercooler set up for you.

I saw two used whipples for chevy trucks for sale at the swap meet this weekend. Both looked like basket cases and were tossed in a basket to boot. I think one wanted $1800 and the other $2200. If your was in good shape and looked like it was not a tangle of **** (like these were) you should be able to get a good bit more.

I never understand these swap meet guys thinking they can throw an expensive kit in a box all haphazard and think others will pay for it. Take it apart carefully and coil up all the wires with zip ties and organize it. It'll look like it is worth money then! When it is all jacked up it looks like someone took off a problem and threw it out!

ADS in chandler has a guy that can do the intercooler (they tell me) but says it's going to be expensive. I've currently got a custom tune from Nelson, but is leaves some to be desired.
Greg at ADS syas he's purchased a software setup that he can put a street tune and a track tune in the truck, with a handheld tuner to choose between the two.
I'm guessing that unless I lower the iat's, it'll never run to it's potential.
