I have a little exper. with editing a 5.3 and the results were suprising. Dropped .4's just by increasing the timing and firming up the shifts.
I have one more VIN left on my cable and wanted to talk the neighbor into editing his pcm. He's kind of cautious about it, but i told him we can make it stock again if he takes it in. I'm thinking since there is more ci's in a 6.0, there might be a little more hp to be had than a 5.3L. Although track results may vary because of weight.

It should be no problem. If he doesn't like the changes, just upload the stock unmodified file back to the PCM. No need to take it back in. It will still cost you the one extra spot on your Edit cable.

Same basic changes should work for the 6 liter as on the 5.3
