Just wondering how much everyone's times have improved with nitrous. Please tell us your before/after times and how big of a shot you are running.

 

My old Z71 gained over 1.5 seconds. Maybe closer to 2 seconds. That was on a max of a 125 shot.

I should add that the 60' time decrease was a big factor in the lower ETs. From low 2.2s to 1.7s.

 

I picked up a second w/ a stock 5.3 and a 100 shot on street tires.

 

With a 100 dry shot, I have gained up to 1.2 sec. Last trip to the track I only gained .9 sec because of traction problems. Was running 13.8x on motor and 12.9x on the spray with the same 60' on both.

 

So could I expect about a half a second with a 50 shot? I will find out one of these days if I can ever get a good deal on some tires.

 

seems like i got 2.5sec on my truck when it was stock other than the nx kit, that was with the 4.8 and a 100shot right out of the hole. seems like a 15.9 down to a 13.4

if you spray out of the hole and can hook you will get more than .5 with a 50shot i bet but if you can't hook who knows.

 

With a 60 dry shot I was able to drop just shy of a sec. I went from a 15.2 to a 14.3. The 60' went from a 2.3 to a 2.3 (dam that traction) Im hopping to hit the 13's with a 120 dry shot and 4.10's. And 12's with traction and a BIG propane powered wet shot until the motor dies its nitrous filled death.

 

So, if I was to get a 75-100 shot along with P&P heads w/ LS1 valves, milled .020 and a 2400 stall, and bigger gears, could I get low-mid 13s?

 

That should put you in the 12s with traction.

 

What pills are you using for a 125 shot on a stock 6.0 ?
