how much for cam and tq converter install?

sheesh. i was charging 250 for cam swaps if you buy the parts.springs and all was 450.00. damn. i need to charge more for it i guess.

I had a friend of a friend do my converter and he was substantially lower than the others at $300. Cam was $700 and that was just labor, Im not sure if that even included springs. A friend helped me do the cam for $100 I think. We dropped the oil pump bolt into the pan so that added like 5 or 6 hours to the job. It is pretty involved, but not hard. It took us a solid 12 hours start to finish.
I also paid $300 to have my headers installed, but now I have to take them off and fix them since the jackass did a shitty job.
I would do it yourself (cam) if you have a buddy that can go through it with you. I wouldnt recommend anyone that doesnt have a lift and substantial exp even try to do a converter swap

this guy that all the ls1tech guys recommends in my area is 800 for cam+spring install. everyone says he does a great job. i think i will try to go through it with a couple of my friends that have done it on other cars

good idea. its a long job, but not $800 worth of work!!
