Default How much boost can be run on a 6.0 with a radix?

Just Wondering. With the pullies available for the radix, how much boost would the smallest one put out on a 6.0 with the following:

-Long-tube headers w/free-flowing dual exhaust
-Electric Fans
-02' LS6 Cam or other blower friendly cam
-Custom Dyno-Tuning
-2600 stall
-3.73 gears
-slicks
-other "little things"- Ported TB, Free Mods, Descreened MAf, etc.

Also, How much power would this truck make at the wheels (HP & TQ)? What would it run at the track (assuming it was a single-cab step-side)?

Would be a pretty cool truck huh?

A 2.75 is about the smallest you'll be able to run without belt slippage being an issue.

A stock 6.0 with a 2.75 should be around 10-11 lbs of boost.

You would probably see detonation pushing that much boost. If it was my truck, I would throw an alcohol injection on it to eliminate the detonation.

The smallest most people go with is the 3" pulley. This will give you another 3# of boost. You'll loose a little with the long tubes and free flowing exhaust so you should see about 8.5-9#. I'd be worried about detonation with anything more than this. I also consider 9# to be the safe limit but some people have run more than this on a stock motor with no problems.

I am considering an aftermarket cam in my 02 Denali. Trying to decide on which to go with.

3.0 would be the limit without tuning. There are also upgraded heat exchangers coming soon!

I run the 3.0 pulley on my Magnacharged Silverado SS. My gauge shows just a hair over 8 lbs. I have had no problems as of yet.

The 3" will work just fine. Before tuning, there was no detection of detonation, so no tuning is required.
I think you could get away with one size smaller and tuning, wonder how that would turn out, hmmm.

good luck,

allen
