how much boost am I currently getting with the 3.1 pulley on a 6.0 and why is there a larger pulley ( I think 3.4 ) with smaller engines? Is the Radix for the 6.0 less efficient or do they supply it with more boost with the 3.1????

If you have a 3.1 on your LQ4 then you are making about 6-7 PSI. The 3.4 pulley is for the smaller 5.3 engine and makes 6-7 on that motor also. You need the 3.1 pulley to spin the blower faster to fill up the larger 6.0. The blower on a 4.8 is just efficient as it is on the 6.0. The boost is controlled with the pulley for the different c.i. configurations.

Hey, not to be a post who*e but, you could try south florida pulley headquarters (www.southfloridapulleyhq.com). They make a lot of odd stuff and they make a 2.8 that fits the M112 off the harley, so they are capbable of making them. Not to steal business from Project R, maybe he can even stock some from them ????

The Harley pulley is not the same as the Radix pulley.

father has a lq9 silverado ss with ati procharger, 10.5 psi of boost on pump gas, with stock internals, lq9 is 10.5 to 1 compression, however he has a 3 core intercooler, not sure of cooling capacity of the radix which makes a big difference in boost levels. we are running 15 degrees of spark advance at wot. has 17k and no issues. have yet to record any spark retard either

Does anyone know if the Radix's intercooler can be made more efficient?

The intercooler it self is sandwiched in the intake manifold. you can however upgrade the heat exchanger for it to a larger one. I will show that to ya tomorrow

sweet!!!
next question,
LQ4 = 3.1" pulley = 6-7psi of boost, what max rpm is the radix turning?

LQ4 = 2.75" pulley = 9-10psi of boost, what max rpm is the radix turning?

and what is the max rpm the radix is rated for? and actually capable of?
