Default How much???

Hey, I own a 1 ton chevy and it has a 454 with a 4 barrel carb and glass packs, i was just wanndering how much horses it will put out becuz my buddy says his truck (a ford f-350 with a chip) puts out 400 horses and he say'd we should chain 'em together and pull i wanted to before i got my butt kicked thanks!

What year is the truck? It really depends on the year because the older chevy motors didnt have that much power output but had quite a bit of torque. With tha 4barrel you runin it should of gave it some GET UP and GO!!!
Those BB's have some great torque!!!

I know the 1990's 454ss trucks have around 255hp and 385lbs of torque and then the 91's-93's have around the same Horses put with 405lbs of torque and this is an all stock 7.4L. I love the 454ss trucks!

I believe my truck is a 77 but im not sure the engine is a rebuild if that helps any thanks

what year is the f-350 both trucks 2wd? dually's? need all the details to make a decision

The F-350 is a 02 it is 4wd all it has is a chip that gives it 400hp, my chevy is 4wd dually it has 1 ton axels and a 1 ton transfer case all the engine specs are....its a 454 with a 4 barrel carb, glass packs, and headers

who cares about hp # if your going to pull like that nice low end torque is gonna make the diffrence there, imo

Man I hate to bet against a chevy but my money is on the cough(ford). Seeing that your rig is quite an old timer. Its power should be minimal to that young buck cough(ford).

Tell us how the pulling competition goes!!!!!

Put it in low range and have fun. but it does seem he has you out gunned. You could just put some nitrous on it buuut that seems to be my solution to evrything lately.

I cant help it nitrous is like sex its addicting and oyu cant get neough of it.
