i was just kind of wondering how many people on here have switched there coolant from dex cool to the older green stuff

I didnt know we had an option... whats wrong with the pink stuff anyways? Supposed to last for what 100,000 miles?

from everything i have read is, the "red stuff" is easily contaminated and when it contaminates it gels up, you also must use nothing but distiled water with the dex-cool or you will have serious rust problems, along with other things

damn it i knew i should have added going to switch or somethin like that

a instructer once told me that you could use your rad (if you're running Dexcool) to trickle charge your battery (don't ask me how, I don't remember)

thats interesting. you'd probably run a wire from either the metal surrounding the coolant or from a probe in the coolant itself to the positive battery terminal and then just grounding the battery elsewhere
