Beside the Silverado....I also own an black 1984 LWB GMC Sierra Classic. Pretty beat down, but it was the first vehicle I owned... so I don't want to get rid of her. It has a 305ci sbc w/ a 4 barrel carb and dual exhaust. My dad uses it to carry around a 16' trailer.

I got a 97 also. I've been on the LS1tech board for awhile even though I'm an OBS. There are still alot of similarites in regards to tuning etc. Mods in sig.

i have an 81 custom deluuuuxe. It has a 03 5.3 waiting on the floor for it. Just had to clean up the shop today to get to it.

 

I have an 82 custom deluxe.. probably look identical. It doesnt run, hasnt ran for about 4 years. Never got around to getting a motor for it. I'm thinking off putting my 4.8 in it once i get a built 6.0 for my current truck. You got some pics of the truck its goin in?

Dontmind the wheels that is just what i had on there while the facotry truck ralleye's were being powder coated. I am looking to convert it to 6 lug and put the ss wheels on it.

Again, this was my first vehicle and I was very hard on it. I am 22 and just now getting around to fixing on it. Poor truck has had about 4 years of real hard abuse, cannot kill a 305. It went 9.91 at 59 mph. if i remember corectly??? The two years my 94 ta has been down waiting on the 6 liter this thing has been there anytime i needed to go anywhere. Damn good truck

 

thats badass man will be one sick ride with a 5.3 in it. Keep us updated on that swap if you would its a flippin sweet idea.

 

that truck is badass.. i would love that for a project truck... Hopefully I will get around to doing my old truck one day. Your truck and my 82 look identical other than I have 5 lights on the roof, lol dont ask.
