What did you tell stan? Did he have a problem with putting an ORY on? I heard he sometimes has issues with people wanting exhaust without cats.

well at first he was a little skeptical, he was like ''u know thats illegal right??'' i said ''ya but man ive been trying to find a shop to do it for me and your the 6th shop ive tried and i drove all the way over here from I-45 and 610, please tell me you can do it" he thought about it and he said he would do it, he goes ''well i can do it but its going to cost you" i said how much and he said 190, i figure that isnt bad at all, the pacesetter ORY is like 140, its like im just paying him 140 for the ORY and 50 bucks to put it in, i'll let ya'll know how it looks tomorrow

Wuss.

That 'backfiring' you're taling about was perfectly normal. I'm not sure what causes it, but it's nothing to worry about.

Nice Charles. I got mine done with cats for a little less. The guys over there are cool. Les was straight up with me. Said my y pipe was a pain in the ***. Apparently the cats on my 01 are really long and there is no room between the collector and the tranny crossmember. Cats are further back now and he warned me I might throw a code cause the cats may not get hot enough. Les and Stan both told me to call if I had any problems.

I got a code and used my predator to read it and it was just one O2 sensor. I traced all the wiring and one harness was undone...we'll see if it throws again.

AP, I am very happy with the work they did and customer service. Les/Stan did not charge me any more than their estimate even though more fab work was required. They welded flanges onto all the parts so I can remove/change whatever I want to in the future.
