how long will the 5.3 last?

Default how long will the 5.3 last?

new here and to the 5.3's how long will one typically last, one that has not been abused and taken care of? im looking at one with 120k on it just wondering how long i should expect it to last.

i would say thats about mid life on a well taken care of engine...

i've seen 338000 on a 5.3 and thet was 3 years ago.

still running see him on the road once in a while.

change the oil and filter every 3k and drive like a saine person and they will last a very long time. i swapped out my 60,000 5.3 for a 100,000 mile old LS1 without any regrets. the inside of the 100,000 mile old motor looked brand new.

hopefully its got lots of life left. i just bought a second truck with 220,000 miles to use as a daily driver.

138k on the old 4.8L and runs like a charm.

Man, any engine can get any amount of life on it as long as you are good to it.

191,xxx on my last one and it was still going strong. I performed recommended maintenance but drove it pretty hard.

i cant remember where i saw it. i posted it on here a while back.it was a guy that had a 2001 gmc with a 5.3 with .. i wanna 500,000+. still running. ill see if i can find it for you.
