Default How long till they die?

I'm looking at buying another truck. Its a 2000 Chevy Silverado z-71 w/ 98k on the dial. They're asking $7500. They have a cat-back exhaust on it. Thats about it.

Deal or No deal?

Thats not too bad of a price for a z71, and as long as its been taken care of then 98k is just getting broken in.

I would guess 9 out of 10 trucks on the road haven't been 'taken care of'...

Just for comparison, I got my 03 Z71 4x4 rcsb for $14,000. I wouldnt go over $7,000 for that truck.

Damn, thats pretty good. How much do you abuse it and go full throttle though? I've seen quite a few Vortech 350's with over 300K and still running, but they rarely saw upwards of 4K rpms. I hope my yukon holds up for 250k+. The way I abuse it and tow way above whats recomended though it may not see 50K.

If the truck has been taken care of, no oil leaks, knocks, missing, clean interior, it should be worth what there asking. No crime in lowballing though.

I'm going to check it out sometime this week. It was owned by a highschool student. So I have doubts on how well of a condition it is in. I booked it and itcame in at 10k. Base is around 7300.

I used to tow a gooseneck trailer. Now I just tow my 22' center console to the coast running 80-90 mph. I also love to signal for a lane change on the freeway, then when the A-hole next to me speeds up to cut me off I wait until they are beside me and... . I love my supercharger.

My rev limiter/ WOT shifts are set at 6200 so it will probably last a little longer than if it were at 7300.
