does anyone have a link that can be detailed enough to take me through the Eaton Posi installation? or you can give me detailed instructions on this thread. how hard is it? i want to know how to do it myself just in case i need to transfer it to a new vehicle. i have the bearings, shims, marking compound, and posi. i still need gasket and gear lube. anything i left out?

Check out randy's ring & pinion. They have some information for gear installation, basically what you are looking for.

 

Unless you are very mechanically inclined and have the tools, I would not dare try to install it myself. Just take it to reputalbe shop. A friend of mine is doing mine over the weekend for $75 and some beer.

axle seals

 

i did not hear anything about axle seals. i guess i will have to do some extensive research before i attempt this myself. don't you have to pull some of the axle? is this what the axle seals are for? i plan on running 85/140 as gear lube. anyone advise against that?
