How to get ASP Crank Pully off?

Default How to get ASP Crank Pully off?

The three jaw-puller won't get around to the back and their isn't any holes in the front or anything.

I had to use a oversized one to get mine off. Much larger than the 3jaw but only works if the engine is out of the truck.Thats how we got mine off.

Do you know what size? I even rented a 2/3 jaw puller and haven't had luck with it yet. The motor is out, trying to put it on the new one.

There is a special puller for those. Go to the local chevy dealer and try to smooze a technician into loaning it to you. Unless your close to me ... I'd loan ya one.

i had an asp on mine before i put the ati super damper on. it was a bitch to get off- we actually screwed it up pretty bad getting it off, ended up tossing it. good luck

the ASP charlie and I installed at 3 holes in the front just like the old school pulleys

yeah, you can use the old pulley pullers that have the three bolts that screw into those holes. Make sure the bolts are grade 8, I've seen them break and if one breaks off your pretty f'ed

I used a regular 3jaw puller on mine and pulled on the out edge its fine.

That's what sucks, it doesn't have any holes. Just solid.
