Default How do you check an injector for leakdown?

I'm pretty sure one of the Motronic 60lb injectors is leaking down.
I will be swapping my LS6 intake for the Edelbrock XT soon so I'll have the injectors out..........Is there a way to put pressure or a vacumn pump on the business end to see if it holds?
Thanks

If you can isolate the rail from the inlet and return lines, (if it has a return),all you need is a fuel pressure gauge to determine that an injector is leaking, only you won't know which one. You'd have to put a fp gauge on the rail, clamp off the return, fire up the fuel pump for second (I'd assume jump out the fuel pump relay, or maybe even just turn the key on for a second), clamp off the inliet line after pressure has built up, and observe the gauge. With the return and inlet clamped off, the rail should hold pressure. (you might have to fab something up to clamp those lines without damaging them, I'm not 100% sure). If the pressure drops, an injector is obviously leaking. You might be able to find out which one with a borescope through the spark plug holes and looking for the cyl that's starting to flood...or you may find that one of your spark plugs is blacker than the rest.

no easy way then. I might try the vacumn thing for the hell of it.
