I did it with long tubes, air intake, 226cam, TT3000, gutted cats and good tuning with a raceweight of 4900lbs.. I have a bigger motor but you should be lighter.

I went a best of 14.29@97mph

Intake, exhaust, gears, stall, cam, weight shaving. Mid 14’s would be hard to pull off the mighty 4.8. If you dont have a posi yet you need one. When I last ran mine NA it was a 15.00000 I have done a little more so I might be close to your mid 14.

What mod to you have so far?

A stall is worth as much a half a second. Gears are worth a few more tenths (especially with a stall). A tune on a NA motor is worth a few tenths. Weight shaving always helps. Long tube headers are nice, but shorties are useless.

If you dont have a limited slip of some type you MUST get one otherwise getting out of the 15’s will be hard.

Well my best time was a 16 flat bone stock. i ran a 15.7 with the programmer but i decided to sell it. I really would like to return back to the ticket booth and see a 14 second timesheet.

*edit* Oh and i have limited slip on my truck.

I would think that with a TT3000 (or equivalent other brand), HPPIII or custom tune, and cold air intake and exhaust you should be somewhere in the 14's. Even with the 4.8, in a RCSB I would think it should be no problem with those mods. I ran a STOCK RCSB (step side) with a 5.3 and we were close...so I'm sure your 4.8 isn't making THAT much less power. Or you could copy 01Thunder. His little 4.8 is impressive N/A.
