Jack, It was nice to meet you to. 7100# with your times in those conditions that's still amazing to me. You got that Avalanche running. Did you check http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/ on those electric cutout openers yet? See you next time. BTW, how many laps did you run ? I was waiting to talk to you but you kept running and running. I finally saw you take a break and came over.

He is quick ruffle peoples feathers and quick to the comeback and is good at it. Terry never learned "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." So don't go agitating him, he is just having a little fun. But he does have a damn fast car and likes to challenge in every arena.

I am ready to negotiate with the Qt folks shortly.
I am trying to figure out how to get a Hurst line lock installed, everybody says no problem until I try to get them to do it. Guess I will have to do it the hard way - and pray for cold weather.

Fast4.8, you mention you your 18" wheels as being a contributing factor such time(15.9). I still have my stock tires(235/70/16) on. I was in the market for new wheels and tires and I don't know what size to with. I have a friend with a 2002 Escalade and bought some 22's and it bacame a slug and a gas guzzler. I do not want ot loose any performance when I purchase my wheels and tires. Yet, at the time, I do not want anything smaller than 18". In fact I would not mind some 18's or 20's. I know centerline wheels claim to make very light wheels but I know the tire diameter plays a big role. What size of wheel and tires would you recommend for >= performance?

In most cases, bigger wheels are just heavier and add stress on the brakes and drivetrain. I have Centerline Tracers with Yokohama 285/50/18 tires. I will get some weights on them this week compared to my stock set. I compensated a little for the extra weight by getting a 1" shorter tire over stock which helped a little on the gear ratio. For what you want, 18's should be fine. As a genneral rule, the taller the tire over stock, the worse your performance will be. I just need to quit playing and get seriuse about getting down the track. Light wieght wheels are high dollar and hard to find for our trucks.

Yeah, wasn't the best day at the track........The weather just played the big part. I had no traction issues nor MPH issues at all. 60' was fine, 2.3 (best ever is 2.2), MPH was fine at 91. So both were there, just wasn't willing to go any lower. Was pulling 15.4s, each run. Glad I went though, nice to know no problems in performance, and actually got the 1/4 times I expected considering the weather and the new weight (tonneau).
I weighed in at 4800#s......Last time I weighed in was at 4600#s......last weigh in was without front seat, back seat, and tailgate (no tonneau)......
Anyway, nice to meet ya Greg, definitely a good looking truck.......
Gandolph, also saw you again, I'd say hello, but you always makin laps! hehe

Terry, we will take your $500 bet. But, when you gut your SLOnoma to win the money, you will have to come to Houston to collect it. It would be worth $500 to see if you actually talk **** in person, you have alot of fans here that would love to meet you.

So to recap, Sportvortec, you went a best of 15.90 and Fast 4.8 went 15.40@91? What were your 60's, 1/8 mph, and average mph? If you don't mind me asking?
Your results may have been the same thing that got me. Back in January, 50s, no humidity, I ran 15.55@87.4 with only a Flomaster muffler with stock pipes. And averaged 15.60s@87.0mph with 2.35 60's. 1/2 tank of fuel.
2 weeks ago I ran with temps in the 90s, humidity 75% and 1/4 tank of fuel. Also had a FIPK and a 160 stat and the sucker only ran 15.56@89.4mph with a 2.35 60's. Backed that up with a 15.57@89.3 and all the rest ranged from 15.63-15.90s at atleast 87mph but mostly 88s. I was pissed. At best I gained 2 mph but I think the heat is what hurt the gains. I put a HPP3 on this weekend and was going to go to the track but didn't make it. Wish I could have been there to race and BS with you fellas.
