How much horsepower and torque could i expect on a 4.8 with an air raid intake tube, modded air box with K&N, descreened maf, throttle body spacer, hypertech programmer? Hard question i know but does anyone have this setup?

well for starters, descreening ur MAF coudl be hazardous to ur engine, and a throttle body spacer does NOTHING performance wise.

ur MAF 'seperates' the air going through the sensor and reads the amount going into the engine...so the computer knows how much fuel to add...without the screen to 'straighten' it out its a mess.

what makes u think a throttly body spacer will do anything? it 'spins' the air...i guess uthink the 'tornado' adds 10hp to huh? spinning air won't do anything...it will spin for the few inches until it hits the intake manifold and seperates into the runners to go into the combustion chamber...at that point it isn't spinning anymore.

I didnt say the spacer does or doesnt do anything for a TB engine. On my 327 motor with a carb a 1-2" spacer is good for another 15 horse or so. Even PHR mags have done dyno pulls on the spacers and have shown gains. I dont see why a TB spacer wouldnt help.

And its not about "spinning the air". Giving the fuel time to atomize is where spacers on carbs are so efficient. Why do you think alot of drag guys run tall deck intakes, because it give the fuel more time to atomize before it enters the combustion chamber.

On my past 4.8 it put down 235hp and 245tq with a volant cai and a magnaflow muffler I've seen HPP's add about 13hp and around 10 lbs of tq to the wheels on 4.8's and 5.3's.
