My '02 has the LQ4. I'm pretty sure I heard that the '03-'04 has the LQ9 (unfortunately for boooooost).

You're asking about HP. GM's claim doesn't really matter. My '02 stock (with Flowmaster) put down 280/310. Maybe someone with an '03 or newer has dyno'd theirs? Then again, every dyno is different.

Thanks Weedo, I have a chance to buy the motor and tranny out of a Denali. I'm not sure of the year model but believe it to be an '03. If it is an lq-9 motor I am interested. I don't know all the differances, but I'm sure it's more than compression to gain 45 hp.

All NBS Denalis truck and suv have the LQ4 which is rated at 325/370 from GM.
The 05 Denalis have the LQ9 which is 345/380 and has higher compression.
