Default hopefully an easy question..

can i safely delete the charcoal canister purge solenoid and line from the intake on my 99 model 5.3???

i test fit the engine today( it's going into a 81 regal) and the solenoid and vapor return line hits the hood, i can't lower the engine anymore and just want to get rid of it if the computer can be reprogrammed to not need it( that and if the engine doesn't really need it to run). it looks like all it does is get fuel vapors out of the intake next to the egr valve, which will be deleted.

any body got an idea????

If you have the right software, you should be able to delete it without any major issues. That solenoid is only for evaporative emissions, which is fuel vapors in the gas tank. If you can plug where the solenoid goes to the manifold, and use LS1Edit, HPTuners, or EFIlive, you should be able to delete the evap system from the PCM.
