Hooker vs. Borla?
#1
I'm trying to build my exhaust for my new 6.0 and need to design a system. The 6.0 will have cam and head work. I'm gonna run Pacesetter LT's for headers. I can't decide on pipe size. No cats. Borla XR1 straight thru or Hooker Aerochamber?
Thanks,
Rob

I have not had much luck with Flowmasters in the past. They sound like a tin can at times and they resonate really bad.
Thanks,
Rob
I would run 3" piping and I would run it through dual flowmaster super 40 mufflers....but if you are dead set on those two , then definitely the hooker aerochambers
Thanks,
Rob

i hate my flow on my truck. i'm putting an aero chamber when i get back home. i think you'll be happy with the hooker.

I have a pair of Borlas w/o cats and Thorley LTs and it sound very nice. Nice deep powerful rumble plus the Borlas flow pretty good since they have a straight-thru design. Don't know about the Hookers design. Sound tempting too though.

In my limited experience, the XR1s have a fairly loud, but nice and deep sound. I think they sound great, but highway resonance could be annoying if you travel in your truck.
