Default Hooker LT Headers

I noticed that the Hooker LT headers come in a two different sizes, 1 5/8" or 1 3/4" primaries, Which ones should I buy or does it even matter? I would like to buy from TBYRNE but he only sells the 1 5/8". Let me know your opinions.I am going to be selling my Pacesetter LT Headers and buy the Hooker LT Headers because I like how the flange in already welded onto the Header and then it has been ceramic coated. It is a Pain in the *** to get the ORY pipe off of the Pacesetter LT's because of the slip fit design. I had to heat up the ORY pipe with a torch and beat the **** out of it to get it to break loose from the Headers.

P.S. I now have some used Pacesetter LT headers for sale if anybody is interested. Make me an offer. Pictures will be available shortly.

1 5/8" will do just fine for a stock 5.3L However, you get to kicking up around 500hp then I would switch to the 1 3/4". The 1 5/8" will have a broader torque curve and better average hp and tq than the 1 3/4".

On a personally note, I have a 383 with 1 5/8's and love 'em.

I will post up pictures of the Headers tomorrow. The ORY pipe is not for sale because I had to use the torch and hammer to remove it there for it is destroyed.

The Hookers are $$$$$$$$$$. You might as well keep the Pace LT's. If you go with a bigger primary your gonna do more harm than good.

you put this in the forsale section and people already are saying they have dibs and such. well what about the people in this thread that replied before the others in the for sale section? not wanting to cause any trouble, but just trying to clarify..

I will be fair in the selling process, I will make a list of who was first to post between the 2 threads. I forgot my camera at home but I will go home on my lunch and then post pictures and the list of who has first dibbs at that time.
