can you get some 3.5 in steel 90*s and some 3.5 in steel straight pipe? If so I might be interested in your help.

so what performance increases did you notice??? are these home made ram air pjts better than the CAI/open box intakes if they are constructed well?

 

Well I had a MAC CAI intake on the truck before this setup and besides exhaust that is basically all I have done. No tune and stock 3.42.

When I first drove the truck it only had the lid and intake piping. I did not touch anything on the bottom part of the stock airbox. The truck ran about the same or a little slower than the MAC CAI. Next I cut out the back side of the air box as you can see in one of the pics and connected the ram air setup. This time when I drove it, it was better than the MAC intake. Then after driving it about ~30 miles I definately ran better. Cruising about 65 and dropping it down into 2nd you can really notice a SOTP difference. The off idle response has also been improved. I only have a 4.8 so any little bit helps. I hope that helps.

yessir. what gauge do you want? I can get .065" easily. that's about the gauge of exhaust tubing (16 ga.). On the 90's I guess they need to be mandrel bent so there's no creases?

i'll try and get some quotes tomorrow. we get a good discount on steel.
