Even the 80mm BBK on a N/A motor only made 12 rwhp more....Sorry if I doubt the Ported TB theory, I just have not seen hard proof that it is worth it.
I agree, 8hp isn't much, and especially on only 1 car, 1 day, 1 dude etc. I'm going to use the handy search button and see what's up.

I would think you could get 20rwhp gain if it were a heads, big cam, big inch, engine with a stock TB.

But like I said, the throttle shaft is milled considerably and even though the diameter of the TB isn't increase the effective flow area is. Drag over a cylidrical shape (throttle shaft) is unbelievably terrible, especially at higher Reynold's numbers like at WOT. Eliminating the drag will allow more quite a bit more flow.

I know thining the throttle shaft works on carbs. It's tried and true, but I would think the same would apply for our TB's.

At any rate the polishing looks pretty.

Oh sure drop that damn engamaneer crap on us.......

I however agree with you on the drag over a cylindrical shape, I can see it making a difference @ WOT where the higher Reynold's numbers are more apparent.......I guess the jury is still out on this one...
I am off to bed, my brain hurts.

Here's something I found:

It seems to be well recieved with those crazy f-body guys.

Here's one with the man himself:

Well, I've got my extra throttle body and its a drive by wire unit, thanks blownchevy. It was sent off to Shaner to be ported. I should have it back next week hopefully. I will try to get before and after dyno's when I get it back to see if there were any gains or not.
