home made air intakes.

i need a new air intake but think i can still use my stock air box. is it an easy job to just make one form some standard plumbing hardware, like a 90, a 45 and some stait pipe.
anyone got some pic's or ideas?

that is sweet looking, i do have a big k&n cone filter if i wated to dump the stock box, that first piece doesn't look like a home depot part to me, where did you get that?

Its a 4" mandrel steel exhaust tube, mated to a 45* PVC part, to the MAF, to the K&N. Works very good and paints up nicely. I'll taka another pic from another angle and show my nitrous plumbing.

My custom intake is really similiar but it uses a rubber 90 and 45 bend and 4" aluminum tubing. It also connects to the stock air box location but requires electric fans. I can take a pic of it for you at half-time. Michigan State vs. Michigan game right now.
