Maybe sometime in the future I'll be interested in getting a nice set of heads, so I'm just wondering what is the best way to raise compression, and how much I can go with pump gas, and without any other serious mods.

I'm pretty set on keeping my truck N/A as of right now (don't wanna mess with boost or nitrous), so raising the compression seems like a good idea since I'm already running 93 octane.

 

It really depends on how much timing you put into it. My old truck was at about 11.5:1 and I was able to run 87, 89, & 93 octane all day long depending on how much timing I ran.

 

with stock timing numbers, i wouldnt go above 11:1

 

ive 12.1 on 93 octane.. the DCR is more important factor then SCR when determing denotaion

 

This is going to depend on several variables. Camshaft, cylinder head efficiency, Intake tract efficiency , spark plug heat range, etc. I would just do some research and see what has been done and what works.
