So, how is everybody? Its been awhile since i've been on here. The trucks are looking badass, its good to see alot of sweet GM TRUCKS!! My question is what are the best performing headers out, now? I have a 2000 Ex.cab,4.8L.

Long-tubes/mid-lenght headers do not move that cats at all, so they are smog legal. Some of the headers might not have smog certifacation, but that is not too big of a deal.

Which long tubes are better. I see alot of guys running TOG's, how do those compare with all the other ones out, in performance & price.

The best way to go is with ASM headers IMO. They're gonna cost you an arm and a leg, but some guys on other forums have said they gained 22 rwhp and more than 25 lbs of torque

do you really think the shorties are a "STRONG HEADER?" shorties show very very little to no dynos, i have a set of edelbrock headers....they are junk....F@#CKING JUNK!!!! i kill myself every time i look under the hood for not knowing any better way back then to not get shorties and go with long tubes. if you seriously think you get any kind of big gain from shorties then maybe your 4.8 really is that fast....maybe it's a 642 bigblock that just looks like a 4.8 and you got a hell of a deal on it at the dealership.
