Default Here is my exhaust setup

Ok guys, here is what I am thinking for my exhaust setup. Getting rid of the flowmaster and replacing it with a magnaflow pretty much all new exhaust. Need to keep my cats too for inspections. Since my stock exhaust is 2.5"OD, I figured I'd stick with that vs going with the 3". All this will go along with an updated Nelson tune for a Comp Cams XTREME RPM HIGH LIFT XR265HR (54-424-11) - 212/218 - .558/.563 115 LSA. Much thanks to Kenny (BigKid) for showing me how he did his, it gave me some great ideas.

Whatcha think?
Andrew

looks like a good set up. still tryin to decide what i want to do also. not to hijack ur thread but i have thought about getting pacesetter LT and 3" in/out cats, instead of the reducer for more room between the crossmember. Then run 3" piping to an x-pipe and then the muffs. using 2.5 tailpipes.. however i think the 3" piping is a little overkill for my setup. i just want to get away with not having to use reducers. your setup is prolly the best way to go, are you gonna use a turndown or a tip.

I thought about going with the 3" pipes too. But when I got under my truck all the stock piping was 2.5" for my 4.8. I figured if I went to 3" it wouldn't be too bad, but keeping with the stock size would probably be best. I have to use at least one reducer at the Y pipe as the Y pipe for the 3" inlets went to a 3.5" outlet, which I would reduce down to the 3 in/out muffler like you were talking about.
