Help! Where is my coolant going?

Well, i opened the reservoir cap and it was below the cold mark. I added fluid and ran the truck again. This time I couldn't smell anything at all. ??? I'll keep an eye on it and I have the stuff to bypass the heater core if need be.

My question now is: Shouldn't the coolant in the reservoir rise while the vehicle is running? I didn't noitce a change in the level at all.

ihad the same problem, and it was a small leak from the water pump.

could it be possible that the lid on the reserve was loose possibley by vibrations or etc and when the engine got hot it evaporated out. just a thought
