Default Help with torque converters?

By the end of the summer i am having my trans. rebuilt with high performance bans and clutches along with a shift kit and servos. At the same time i was thinking about installing a torque converter with a stall. I was thinking about a TCI 3000 stall. Is that too high of a stall for daily driven use? Would a 2400 stall be better? Also how does a stall really work and how much of a difference does a stall make.

I have a 2000 silverado RC SB with a 5.3, superchips tune, KN FPIK, ASP pulleys, Borla exhaust. What else would it take to get into the 13's without n20?

3000 is as small as I would go on a street truck that doesn't do much towing.

Here are your answers:

I got the Yank TT3000 and love it. What kind of times have you run so far?? I would think that with a converter and a few other mods you would be real close (to 13's), as I have run mid 14's in an extended cab truck (which is much heavier) with less mods. What gear do you have in your truck?

I wouldn't trade the TT3000 in mine for any other converter ... I'm that happy with it.

WIth the converter, a shift kit, and servo's I knocked off .7 from my 1/4 mile times.
