Default Help with my Trailblazer SS

I just not to long ago bought a '06 trailbazer SS, it has the LS2 6.0, a cam (not sure what type or brand), long tube headers, and exhaust. I just put a K&N cold air intake on it, and had a few questions if someone could give me a hand.

im not too big into mechanics but i work on all my own vehicles, and have already learned a bit about this truck. now i was just curous what were some things i could do to improve the performance of my truck but at the same time keep it alright for an everyday driver?!? I want to do an inexpensive route (if thats even possible) and something i could do rather quickly because i am going to get it tuned here in the next couple weeks.

if you could help out i would really appreciate it

Well since it has been modded and you don't know the mods, i would do that first thing... I mean the guy changing the tune could be a crazy glue sniffer and do you really want someone like that messing with your truck? Or the tune could be fine, either way it is peace of mind in my opinion....

I agree with black gmc find someone that can go thru your tune then go from here. Do you have E-fans? I would also invest in a trans cooler or if you want to go with a stall and built trans best bang for the buck. Where are you from I know a few tuners for the TBSS.

Trans cooler- pcmforless.com
Built trans- rpmtransmissions.com

Yea, I defiantly hear what your saying. Do you think it would be better over all to go back to stock and get it tuned or just buy new cams and get it tuned. Cause right now with it being cold and all it takes till it's about up to 170 degrees till it's warm enough to drive. It still back fires a bit so thats why I'm so adamant about getting on it. Again I appreciate all the help you guys are offering!!!

I am from around the Kansas city area, and It also has a stall I need to have it adjusted though. But I will look into the e-fan and trans cooler.
