218/220 -9* overlap 7.56 DCR

From my limited understanding the overlap will determine how quickly the TQ comes in and out (broad or Peaky)... The closer the overlap comes to 0*, is when you run into idling problems, vacuum brake problems, problems tuning.... DCR will have an affect across the powerband, but the higher the DCR the higher octane and higher risk of denotation, but the higher the DCR the more power on a NA setup....

Also IMO you need to look at duration, cam lobe profile, LSA and ICL to propperly pick a cam, not just "220" or "112"....
ahhh, that makes sense. thanks corey

ok, so gonna re stall to 3000, and try and go with a 212/218, but with what lift? comp's website has a really low lift, part number XR265HR. or texas speed has a custom grind that lets me choose a 212/.558 and 218/.563 on a 114+2. what would be better. looking for a smooth idle. my exhaust is quiet, and I like the stealthyness of my truck.

I am going to do an lsx project truck in a year or so hopefully, and sink all my money in it. I just don't want to break this truck seeing that I have only had it for 18 months. i would rather build a street and strip truck and beat on it and if it breaks, no big deal just let it sit till I can get it fixed.

I just wanted to hear opinions, just trying to talk myself into keeping the 3600.

yeah, I want to try the high lift, even with 3000 stall. it should be ok. i will prolly go with 918's.

how is your 3200? do you like the city driving? do you wish you had a 3400 or a 3600?
