For those who dont know me (probably almost everybody), i'm still in high school. my car is acting up so i want to get a truck. i wanted a newer half ton but i don't want to be stuck making payments as i dont know what im doing after this year.

So i want to get an older half ton (88-98) and go from there and build something. i LOVE the idea of a duramax diesel conversion like the one in the thread i posted a couple days ago. lots of power, dependability, gas mileage, and easy power mod potential. but im not so sure its realistic for me as the entire wiring and EVERYTHING has to be swapped.

what are some other project ideas with the same benefits as those listed above? and would they be any easier than the diesel conversion?
