Default HELP?!?! I can't get to my cam

I can't get my harmonic balancer off. I have been trying for about 3 hours. I have the 3 jaw gear puller against a long bolt through the crankase bolt hole. It is smaller than the ragular bolt so that the threads won't get messed up. When i get enough pressure against the bolt, the harmonic balancer spins. I tried jamming it with a crow bar and I got it to stop spinning. This time the bolt from the puller dug into the bolt I have in the crankase so much that it slid off. I am officially stumped. This thing seems to not want to come off.

What kind of puller is it. Make sure that it is a good one and not an autozone special.

I found that those pullers dont work the greatest. How are you pulling on the pulley/where are the fingers on the puller at.

Behind the little tabs on the back of the harmonic balancer. There is like three little tabs that come up that I am seating it on.

it was one of the hardest parts for me to pull when I swapped my cam. just keep at it. I put a rod/bar into the torque converter, there is a plug in the bottom of the bell housing to keep the crank from spinning. Just take your time and dont kill your self over it b/c it is surposed to be on there good.

wow, mine actually came off pretty easy with the "autozone special". as long as its not the pittman style puller u should be ok. but before I even took the bolt off I got a breaker bar and kinda jammed it in one of the balancer arms and then against the AC compressor. I didnt wanna break anything in the process cuz I'd be fucked, but I got it stable and not to hurt anything so try ur best. And DEFINATELY take ur time, thats not something to try and rush thru cuz u'll have a really expensive and time consuming oil change and coolant flush under ur belt.
