Default help fast header Q

I just installed the edelbrock shorties and the problem im having is exhaust leak from the flange to the headers. i used mr gasket paper gaskets. should i have used the stock donut gasket does anyone else sale gaskets. thakns Gene

no i had to cut two of the bolts so i bought bolts and nuts the passenger side sealed but the drivers side has a slight leak.

hmmm... did u use those same paper gaskets? Your probably right, they might be the problem.

If you bought the edlebrocks new it should have came with all the gaskets and bolts...if not try buying some felpros #1438 but make sure its not leaking from where the y pipe bolts on .

okay i finally got it fixed up. i bought the felpro gasket for the drivers side and the donut gasket form the dealer and used a little high heat cilcone, no leaks. im happy. how many horse so you guys thinki got out of these shorties i was thinking 5 or 10. or is that to high? i only paid 70 plus 20 for the gaskets so i think its not that bad of a deal. i happy with the look.

i have long tubes now but i use to have them edelbrock shorties. when i put them on i could definately tell a difference in the bottom end. i think you did good.
