Help, Driveline loss Q?

Default Help, Driveline loss Q?

Based on a bone stock LQ4 6.0L engine rated at 300hp 360tq with the 4L80E tranny and Full Floating 14bolt/10.5" rearend what driveline loss % should I expect for that?

I'd say around 20%

Well, after looking at your dyno numbers. Mathematically speaking you lost only 8-9% in drivetrain loss. However, I do believe the 360TQ GM underates, because their is no way that the the 80e and a 14 bolt carry 8% lossage.

I was thinking at least 20%, maybe even 22%. Hopefully I can get a collaberative #.

From what I understand the 80e eats power good.

From what I understand the 80e eats power good.
Well I'm going on a limb here as far as math and drivetrain loss goes. On TQ you lost 9% in drivetrain, on HP you lost 25% in drivetrain(325HP and 360TQ as variables compared against your dynos). Add the two and divide by 2 you get 17%. Probably not accurate at all, but it's was worth a shot

My engine is rated at 300hp (not 325hp).
what might those figures work out to then? thanks for the math help.
