Default help with 99 6.0 crank shaft

as everyone knows the older engines have the long crank. I am putting this motor in front of a 60e.

I read on hear you can have the old crank shaved down by a machine shop. is this true?

also how much do I need them to shave off so it will make it work for a 60e. thanks a lot guys

Not sure if you asked this on another site, but here is some info for ya. The last post of this thread has the crank flange measurements for ya.
