Default Help 5.3 cam swap

Hi, I want to make a cam swap my 2007 Silverado 5.3 (LY5), I have two options, Ls2 or Ls3 stock cam.

I recommend you, with which would have better profit?

Neither are worth the time and effort.

Like others have mentioned the gains wouldn't be worth the effort or time. There are plenty other great options out there to choose from.

Thanks,

he mentioned he only has two options. of those two options, as it was already stated, they are basically the same. go with which one is cheaper or in better condition and that should be your deciding factor since specs are nearly identical. I think the ls3 has more lift (+.01) than the ls2

Thanks for your opinion, I'm looking for my doubts, I understand what you mean but in this article speak say that despite the LS3 has more lift on the intake, the LS2 is a better option because it produces more torque

The LS2 cam has a tighter LSA making the valve events slightly more ideal for a relatively small 5.3.

If you have to choose one or the other the LS2 will perform better.

Also worth noting... I dont think the LS3 cam has the cam sensor in the back where as some LS2 cams may.

It must be because the cam LS2 has a degree less than LSA
