Default Help with 4L60e rebuild parts

4L60E help buying parts
Have any of you ever used these guys?

http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L60E.htm

They make the Raptor 4L60E

I may be buying all my parts and have the trans done locally, and also the R&R.
The shipping is too much, or non existant, to get a trans to Alaska.
I know my trans doesn't have long to go, so I am trying to put some ideas together.
My mods are in sig below. Thanks for any help.
I am going to get these parts to start with, and anything else I need.

#6 - Borg Warner Sprag
#11X - Raybestos Kevlar band
#14XX - Raybestos Blue Plate special ctuches
#19X - 5-pinion rear planet
#19XX - 5-pinion front planet
#44X - reaction carrier shaft with Beast shell
#45 - Torque Drive, hardened input shaft and shell

I belive they quoted me about $1000 for this stuff plus S&H
My R&R of the tranny will be about $2000

Really wish I could just order an FLP like alot of you guys, but I don't think
I can get it shipped here. Thanks. Sam

I got all my parts from there. I got the master-rebuild kit, which has sotck type clutches with blue 3/4 clutches and all seals and o-rings for the rebuild. I also got the billet servos, but haven't installed them yet. The rest of the stuff I got was the torque drive system, which comes with it's own reaction shell. A stock drum, with the black kevlar band, a billt 1-2 accumulator piston and a couple other small parts. It cost me something aroun 730 I wanna say, this was at their store front, so Ihad to pay taxes rather than shipping.

Everything is holding just fine so far. I haven't had it that long though, but I've beat the hell out of it plenty of times.

Thanks Nathan I also emailed FLP, but I don't think shipping one here is feasible.
I talked to a guy at the Raptor place, and he seemed to know his stuff.

He does ... in general .. but if you ask him a tech question, he weasels out of it. They do have folks there that know their **** though. They also have some fine rides in there.

The guy I talked to on the phone and at the store was driving a late 60 camaro, bright red with black racing stripes. I had to wipe the drool off the car when no one was looking.

Call Seth at Combonation motorsports
They understand that the tranny will be going into a 5000lb vehicle and take that into consideration when they set you up for a rebuild
They build lots of transmissions for impala's that make some huge power and are heavy

So far it looks like I want these parts

#6 - Borg Warner Sprag
#11X - Raybestos Kevlar band
#14XX - Raybestos Blue Plate special ctuches
#19X - 5-pinion rear planet
#19XX - 5-pinion front planet
#44X - reaction carrier shaft with Beast shell
#45 - Torque Drive, hardened input shaft and shell (package)

metal accumulator piston

#38 high output pump slide spring
#41 intermediate servo release check valve
#45P spring set and piston- needed for torque drive package

maybe a billet servo

Do I need this??
#5. 4L60E high performance / high volume pump rotor kits. Turn your seven or ten vane pump into a thirteen vane pump. This kit will eliminate irregular pump pressure above 5,000 RPM. Transmission must be removed to install this kit. Cost $45.00

any other suggestions????
Thanks, Sam

#41 is only needed with the billet intermediate servo.

My pump was alreayd a 13 vane. It is stamped on the inside of the pump.

You don't need the Beast sunshell either. There is a new reaction shell with the torque drive thing. The one that is included is better than the beast.
