i think you're ****** crazy to wanna run that stall as a DD lol, just my .02. I would invest in some transmission upgrades i.e. get a 4L80E that's built. if you're wanting to reliably run that truck with the all the stuff you said you wanted to, and the way you're going to be driving it all the time will definately put your stock tranny on the express lane to the junkyard. and like everyone else said, with that tc get a big tranny cooler, hayden and B&M make good ones.

i think you're even more crazy for wanting to run an ms3...thats a 237/242....i dont even think a 4000 stall would be enough and with your 4.8 you would have to shift at 7500 or something crazy.... do your research

bigger isnt always better when it comes to cams and remember that this cam was designed for a motor that has nearly 1litre more displacement than yours

I'd go with a 3400 and a TSP high lift 220.

TR224 w/112 lsa is the biggest I'd put in ur 4.8, 3400 stall would sound about right for the tr224. other than that, a good street cam is the TR220. most of the 220 duration cams are okay on the street, the smaller the LSA the choppier the idle is too
