Could it be the fuel injectors are clogged up. The new fuel filter could have caused them to clogg up a little more. What I mean is that the sediment in the fuel lines could have gotten loose when you changed the filter and clogged the injectors some more.Or do you think it could be air in the fuel lines.I don't know to much about the F--D vehicles.Just a thought.

take the fuel line off the outlet of the filter, turn the ignition on or try to crank it (whichever makes the fuel pump come on) let it pump some gas through the filter then hook it back up and try to crank it.

hey you can try the battery. but it sound like to me you might either have a bad ingnition. coil, or maybe your cam's jumped timing some how, if your timing belt is worn the **** out, it will sometimes stretch enough to jump time. just a thought i would not know where to start with out being there

my guess would be that the original problem was bad plug wires, which you didn't fix, since you only replaced the plugs.
the problem after the plug change is probably wrong plug wire placement, IE wrong firing order.
this is my best guess without being to look at it. i had a mifire problem and replacing plugs and wires fixed it, or else just covered up the real problem for awhile

plug wires definately crossed my mind....I didn't want to get into replacing them without seeing what you guys thought though. Also, the fuel pump should fill up the fuel filter just by turning the key to "start" but not cranking it a couple times. That should turn the fuel pump on to repressurize the lines. I see what you are saying about air in the lines though. As far as the wrong placement of the plug wires....I'm positive they are in their correct positions, which makes me think more andmore that it IS the wires.

First you need to charge your battery. While the battery is charging you need to check your firing order and also make sure that new EGR is not leaking. You also need to follow up on the posts that you start. You just wasted money your friends money on that EGR Valve. You need to replace the DPFE Sensor! The low flow EGR = bad DPFE Sensor will not cause your car to run like ****. But if the new EGR Valve is leaking it will.

Is it a distibutor-type ignition? If it is,maybe cap, rotor as well as checking the things already mentioned.
As far as codes go,sometimes they'll mislead you into changing stuff that isn't bad. You have to just eliminate one possibility at a time.
