Unhappy Help!!!!!!!!!!

I have a HUGE problem.....I took on the task of fixing a friend's car (which I now see that I shouldn't have). Anyway, The OBDII was giving me codes for the EGR valve and misfires in 4 different cylinders...so I replaced the EGR along with all of the plugs....I also put a new fuel filter on it and changed the oil when I did it. I first gapped all of the 6 plugs to 0.54 (which is what the company recommended), I then put anti-sieze on the threads of the plugs and screwed them down into their chambers. I then put all of the plug wires on them to where they made that clicking sound when they connect with the tip of the plug. Following the plugs, I unbolted the old EGR valve and bolted on the new one (I also installed new gaskets in place of the old ones). Following the EGR valve, I removed the fuel filter from the line, I then put in the new fuel filter by putting it in the correct position for forward flow and attaching the two hoses to it. After that I changed the oil by draining the old oil, removing the filter, putting the drain plug back in, putting the new filter on (and putting oil around the seal on the filter for a better seal), and then putting new oil in to full capacity. WHERE DID I GO WRONG??????????? The car is now sputtering to start...and when it does start, it may make it to 700 RPM but then quickly sputters back down to 0. Sometimes it just tries to turn over and won't! HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I can think of would be maybe I gapped the plugs too wide. It couldn't have been any more than .60 though. Would that be significant enough to cause this? Or I thought that maybe I messed up the plug wires' order...meaning the new firing order is incorrect. Is there any other possible thing?

The egr valve may be bad. If it is stuck open and constantly allowing exhaust gases back into the intake it will not run worth a ****.

what do you mean by checking the crimp in the wires?....Also, I replaced the EGR valve with a brand new one, so there should be no blockage or valve problems there. As far as the anti-seize goes, I'm gonna try taking it off today, but why does that make a difference? I put it on my silverado when I put the plugs back in after changing out my headers and I never had a problem. Thank you so much guys!

Ok....new update. I just took all the anti-seize off the plugs and replaced them. RESULT: still doesn't work. When I crank it it tries to turn over about 3 (very weak) times and then won't turn over anymore. It just won't fire up. I am beginning think possibly the alternator? Also, to go back to the beginning...the original problem was that the car had trouble starting but it seemed ok once it started, and ran normally up to about mid-throttle.....after that, as the throttle opened up thecar started sounding like it was misfiring and just wouldn't go like it should. Does this help any?

ok, is the battery good?

The alternator could have went bad, causing the battery to drain, or the battery could have simply just took a ****. The car uses the battery to fire the ignition system, and start the vehicle. The alternator then replaces what has been used by the car. I had sort of a similiar problem. If it won't turn over, that's where I'd look. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD GROUND IE NEGATIVE CABLE AND TERMINAL.
