ok, how many tenths are you guys seein added to your quarter mile running heavy wheels like 20s or 22s? I have 22s on right now and i could feel a difference when i put them on vs the stock 16s but im not sure of how much it slowed me down.
Reason i ask is i will be running my truck at the track in about a week and can't decide between the 16s and 22s, the 16s are lighter, but harder to get the generals to hook, the 22s are heavier but hook much better.
My 22s are apoximately 80lbs by the way. They are 29.3 in tall.

My truck is 3 tenths faster with Escalade wheels w/ 275/55/17's compared to Centerline 20x9's w/ 285/50/20. The Esky combo is about 2 inches shorter, which gives me a little more gear ratio, but most of the gain is from the weight loss.

if you drive it every day on the 22's i don't see why you'd race it on the other tires other than to see the difference. that's like bench racing...
"you should see how fast it is with my other wheels"...

I have always thought that too. Thats like goin to the track with no bumper, no tailgate, no seats, etc. Its not a realistic number. at least if you know what you run at the track in street trim, you could realistically know what you can and cant beat on the street.

I like to run with my factory wheels just to get a good feel for what the truck can do without the appearance mods. I just like to see what it will do in mostly stock trim to see how it adds up. I also like to run it with the 18s on to get a feel for how it will perform under everyday driving conditions, I would just rather run with the lighter wheels while at the track to see what times I would be putting out in stock trim.
