Default need help picking tires for 17"s

Well I'm about to get my Denali rims and I'm very confused about which tire to get. Currently I have P255/70/R16. I want the tires on my denali rims to be the same height as my current 16"s which is about 29" tall but I also what my tires to be wider. I've seen 285/60/r17 but they look taller but they are great width wise. I was thinking of 275/ 60/17 but are not sure how tall they are. What tires do you reccomend that meet my wants? Could you guys post pics of truck with denali rims with different tires sizes on them. Sorry for all the crap but I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to tire sizes. Thanks

Try this calculator. I would use 275/60/17. They are the closest to stock height.

A 275-60-17 is 29" tall that way if you need to use your spare, the circumference is the same. If you go with the Michelin Cross Terrains you get a 65K mile treadwear warranty and it's a quiet tire.

Actually depends on the manufacturer as well. My Kuhmo's measure 30" on the nose. Some manufactures have taller/shorter tires using the same dimensions. Why? Who knows. But if you take 2 or more manufactures tires with the same tire dimensions, you are going to get 2 different ACTUAL measurements.
