Default Headwork Questions

Hey guys, a friend of mine, to return a favor to me is going to hook me up with a *free pass* for some headwork at his machine shop.

So the questions I have are:

1.) Other than port matching, what should I get him to do, to net some extra ponies?

2.) Should I have him mill them any? And how much?

Any input on this would be appreciated because I'm not a machinist.

what casting number??

I'd get them milled .030" with stock gaskets or .020" and some .040" Cometic gaskets. and some 2.00/1.57 valves put in with a good valve job and porting... they will flow nicely and make some good numbers for you...

I think I've got the 704 castings...maybe?

I figure I will need a dyno tune after this operation woulden't I? Or could Allen @ Nelson Perfromance get me with a mail order tune? I have used Nelson for quite some time now, but if I need a Dyno Tune, then it'll probably be Jeff Creech at CAM
