Me tooo, i am really excited to see what it will do!

I wont need it for awhile because it is going to take several weeks to get the new cam and I want to test out my new heads on my current cam, so I will just get it from you at our next track GTG...

just read this, i know those heads are going to help a ton, not too sure about the smaller cam since you do state you want track times. i'm really interested in the intake though cuz i might get one if it helps your 4.8 any.

if your going to stay n/a, put a real converter in there. 4000-4400, that will drop your track times. I have a pt4400 for sale....

I am waiting for the tranny to die, before I do that. When it does you will know cause you will be building the new one... I am looking at a CircleD a little bit bigger than Scotts... I have allready talked to CircleD about it, i think it was a 4C or something like that...

Corey, should run awesome. I think you'll be putting a good hurting on a lot of cammed 5.3's with that setup. It's nice to be able to work with someone (Ed) who is actually an airflow engineer and provides winning grinds. Go tear it up I'll have my Ed Curtis cam installed here hopefully next weekend.

Also the cam he recommended is probably designed around your stall, I'd be leary of changing it without asking him first........

I told him about my converter... Anyone who has driven my truck know it is not a 2800... It acts and flashes more like a 3200, and that is what I told ed.

This is the description of the power range for my cam, he put on the Cam Card.

This camshaft is designed for naturally aspirated, high torque applications

CHECK and verify rocker arm geometry and lifter preload
This is imperative for optimum performance of this camshaft

The power band is roughly between 2800 to 6000 rpm for 292-323 CID
Gear the vehicle accordingly

The preferred valve spring pressure is 135# -140# on the seat
Use only quality valve springs with performance locks and retainers
PAC Racing 1218 or 1518 beehive valve springs highly recommended
Hardened, heavy wall push rods required for valvetrain stability

Ported cylinder heads required for high RPM performance
Long tube headers and free flowing exhaust mandatory

Custom EFI tuning required for maximum performance of this profile

Unfortunately yep, it is only an 1/8th... Our 1/4 track never has open test-n-tune...
