If your cam is part number #60510 on the lunati website you are only getting .531 lift out of that cam, If I were you i would upgrade to a higher lift cam with a longer duaration. Your cam is just hair larger than the Com Cams 'Low lift' grind if im not mistaken. Other will chime in im sure but if it were me I would upgrade cams to go with that 3000 stall u already have planned.

I would say the small bore 205cc Trickflows for 4.8/5.3/6.0 or If your looking to save some $$ the PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads make good power...
-You would be able to recoup some of the cost by selling your 799's......

Swapping in a junkyard 6.0 will give you much more power. I would do that before spending any more money on the 5.3 if you plan to stay naturally aspirated.

All you would need is the 6.0 longblock. All your accessories and intake, etc will swap over. All in all if you're doing the labor yourself I think it can be done for under $1500, depending on mileage and condition of the engine, LQ4 vs LQ9, etc.
